Lola Berry launches juice bar & health food café in South Melbourne Market
Melbourne's healthy food scene just got a whole lot more interesting.
Nutrition sensation Lola Berry and coffee mastermind, Salvatore Malatesta of St. Ali have joined forces to launch “Happy Place” this June.
Nestled in the heart of the South Melbourne Market, this juice bar and café is set to deliver a sense of health and happiness to locals and visitors alike.
“Happy Place is all about inspiring wellness and being a place where you can pick up healthy on-the-go meals, snacks, smoothies and juices, however, it’s also about empowering you to find the happy place within yourself,” says Lola Berry.
You’ll find a balanced menu between sweet and savory tastes at any time of day. Whether it’s a breakfast smoothie, a fresh desk-side salad, or a protein rich post workout treat, the only problem will be choosing which one.
If you’re a smoothie enthusiast you’ll find a selection of seasonal smoothies filled with wholesome goodness. Two favourites to look out for are Strawberry Kisses ($12) strawberries, cashews, coconut oil, rice malt, vanilla pod, salt flakes and the I’m Glowing ($12) which includes, banana, mango cheeks, turmeric, activated macadamia, medjool dates and almond milk.
For breakfast, think The Rainbow Yoga Bowl ($14) includes poached egg, green hummus, sweet potato, broccoli, baby spinach, cherry tomato and house-made sauerkraut dressed with a combination of almond butter, pumpkin seeds and ground paprika.
The concept, born form a friendship between Lola and Salvatore and a likeminded passion for wellness, mindfulness and yoga, their dream has become a reality.
Happy Place will open 7 days a week from 7am-5pm at Stall 56 South Melbourne Market, Cecil Street, South Melbourne.
